Growing up, I was the kid that you don’t want yours to play with because when they do, inevitably they’ll end up in trouble. Not the really bad kind of trouble, the adventurous kind. I grew up on Scooby Doo and Dark Shadows. That should give a little insight. My cousin Patrick, my almost constant companion swears that I gave him ulcers, dragging him onto private property looking for ghosts or evil-doers. Thankfully we never found any.

I started telling stories so that I could entice my cousins and neighborhood kids to go on adventures with me. It worked beautifully! In my teens, I was a terrible student who wrote like a maniac. I would have my friends design characters and then I would weave them into stories. Those were almost never finished, but there were a few that I wish I still had.

As an adult, it was time to focus on life and pay bills. I fell into the newspaper industry where most people are as strange as I am in their own way. Newspaper folk, you know I’m telling the truth. Not working as a writer, but as a graphic designer. I’ve never had an interest in writing the truth, it’s rarely as good as the imagination.

Voodoo Dues and Vampire Blues are now available exclusively on Amazon.com. A third installment of Lian and Figg’s adventures is in the works. Until then, you can follow me on Twitter, like me on Facebook, or subscribe to my blog to get updates as the release draws near!
